Jayla's only brother, who is three years older and in Grade 10 at high school. They have many similar creative interests and have always gotten along well for the most part - however, in recent years Jayla has gotten annoyed by his uptightness and overprotectiveness of her and their other sisters when it comes to boys.
Jayla's sister who is two years older and in Grade 9. Vastly different than Jayla - is athletic while Jayla is artistic, is boy-crazy and a hopeless romantic while Jayla would rather avoid the subject. Teases Jayla a fair bit but loves her dearly, defends her when needed, and wants to see her happy and successful.
Jayla's sister who is three years younger and in Grade 4. Bold, often hyper, and can be loud at times. Frequently tags along and wants to play with Jayla, though also tries to show off for or one-up Jayla in some way or another.
Jayla's 3-year-old sister and the youngest of the Starlight siblings. Very kind and friendly, but can be quite sensitive. Loves Barney the Dinosaur and is already a gifted young artist for her age, taking after Jayla and their mother. You never know what she might say next.
Longtime enemy of Jayla Starlight from elementary school - her #1 archnemesis, however, is Jayla's friend Xerann Xinders. Rude, snarky, and runs her mouth way more than she ought to. Doesn't interact with Jayla or Xerann much these days but remains a rather mean girl in class 7-4.
A rather mean girl in class 7-2. Quite quick to get annoyed or fired up. Sometimes overly competitive even with those on her own team. Is best friends with Simown Langbrae, whose sworn enemy is Xerann Xinders - therefore, Jeniver hates Xerann as well and is very vocal about that fact.
A girl in class 7-2 who is a bit on the quieter side compared to her mean friends, but can also have a blunt and nasty side that comes out every now and then. Is bilingual (English and Spanish) and plays the flute in the junior high concert band.
